Your Memories Are Fading. Right Now.

Every day, your VHS tapes are deteriorating. The magnetic coating breaks down, colors fade, and playback quality degrades. In 10 years, many of these tapes won’t play at all.

Those first steps, birthday parties, weddings, holidays, and everyday moments—the memories that matter most—could be lost forever.

We Save What Matters Most

For over 40 years, Tommy Productions has helped South Jersey families preserve their most precious memories. Unlike mail-away services, Tommy personally handles every single tape with care, expertise, and the attention your memories deserve.

Personal Service

Tommy does the work himself—no warehouse, no assembly line. You can call, visit, and talk directly to the person handling your memories.

Expert Restoration

We don’t just transfer—we restore. Color correction, audio enhancement, and professional-grade equipment ensure the best possible quality.

Local & Trusted

Serving Franklinville, Vineland, Glassboro, and all of South Jersey for 40 years. Your neighbors trust us. You can too.

Video Tape Formats We Transfer

We transfer most common videotape formats to digital. If you’re not sure what format you have, bring it in — we can identify it.

VHS

Standard Video Home System DESCRIPTION: Standard home video format used from the 1980s through early 2000s. The most common tape format we see. We transfer all VHS tapes to digital with professional color correction. IMAGE: Photo of a standard full-size VHS cassette tape, front-facing

VHS-C

Compact Camcorder VHS DESCRIPTION: Compact camcorder tapes commonly used in family camcorders in the 1980s–1990s. Smaller than VHS but uses the same tape technology. We handle VHS-C transfers with or without an adapter. IMAGE: Photo of a VHS-C compact cassette. Ideally show it next to a VHS for scale.

MiniDV

Digital Video Cassette DESCRIPTION: Digital camcorder tapes popular in the late 1990s and 2000s. Small cassettes with excellent digital quality. We transfer MiniDV to MP4 preserving the original digital quality. IMAGE: Photo of a MiniDV cassette (very small, distinctive form factor).

Hi8 / Video8 / Digital8

Sony 8mm Camcorder Family DESCRIPTION: Camcorder tapes used in Sony and other consumer camcorders from the late 1980s through 2000s. Includes Video8, Hi8, and Digital8 variants. We transfer all three 8mm formats. IMAGE: Photo of a Hi8 or Video8 cassette. The Hi8 branding should be visible if possible.

MiniDVD

3-Inch Camcorder Disc DESCRIPTION: Small camcorder DVDs used in early 2000s camcorders. About half the size of a regular DVD. We recover and transfer MiniDVD content even if your computer can’t read the disc. IMAGE: Photo of a MiniDVD disc next to a standard DVD for size comparison.

Not Sure What You Have?

Not sure what format you have? Bring it in — we can identify it. We’ve seen every tape format made in the last 40 years.

Damaged Tape? Don’t Give Up.

Mail-in services return damaged tapes untouched. They charge handling fees but offer no solutions. Moldy tapes, broken shells, and twisted reels get sent back with a note: “cannot transfer.” Those wedding videos, baby’s first words, family reunions—the tapes holding your most precious memories—don’t deserve to be abandoned. We specialize in repairing and recovering tapes others say can’t be saved.

We Repair What Others Won’t Touch

For over 40 years, Tommy Productions has specialized in saving damaged tapes that other companies reject. Unlike warehouse services that follow scripts, Tommy personally examines every damaged tape with expert care, specialized tools, and genuine determination to recover your irreplaceable memories.

Specialized Equipment

Tommy uses professional repair tools—not available to warehouse workers. Shell replacement kits, precision cleaning machines, and expert techniques developed over four decades of hands-on experience.

Damage Expertise

We handle severe problems: mold remediation, sticky shed treatment, water damage recovery, and physical repairs. Professional assessment, honest expectations, and maximum effort to salvage every recoverable moment.
